How the DVA Treatment Cycle Works
1. Speak With Your GP
Talk with your usual GP about whether osteopathic treatment is appropriate for your condition and ask for a referral to Still Point Osteopathy.
2. Book Your North Lakes Appointment
Once you have your referral, contact Still Point Osteopathy or use our online booking system to arrange your appointment.
3. Assessment and Treatment Planning
Your osteopath will assess your presentation and discuss your treatment goals. Where treatment is clinically appropriate, an individual treatment and management plan will be developed with you.
4. Ongoing Communication With Your GP
A DVA allied health treatment cycle can include up to 12 sessions or continue for up to one year, whichever occurs first.
At the conclusion of the treatment cycle, we provide your usual GP with an update regarding your treatment and progress. If further treatment is clinically necessary, your GP can determine whether another referral is appropriate.
